Hundreds of people took to the streets yesterday to protest the violence and killings in Panjgur district of Balochistan province in Pakistan. A large number of people, including women and children, gathered in the protest at the main square of the city.
The newspaper Dawn reported that people protested over the lack of arrest of the killers and raised slogans against the local administration and the police. The protesters said that several innocent civilians have been killed in Panjgur in a month but no one has been arrested.
