PM Modi Pays Respects to BJP Workers Murdered in the State, Felicitates their Kin With Shawls

On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to visit Purulia, West Bengal, and met with the families of BJP workers who have been murdered in the state’s political violence.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the family members of BJP workforce who have been murdered in Purulia.

Prior to actually speaking at the massive public rally, PM Modi recognised family members of BJP workers murdered in political violence spawned by TMC goons in Purulia. The Prime Minister offered shawls to all families as a form of facilitation.

In his speech to the rally, Prime Minister Modi asserted that the BJP government will take action against those responsible for the killing of innocent civilians.

Purulia, West Bengal, is no stranger to crime. The district gained prominence after the 1995 mysterious arms drop incident, in which unlawful weapons were fired from an Antonov An-26 aircraft in the district’s fields. It was claimed that the then-Congress government at the centre, in conjunction with RAW and MI5, sought to destabilise the communist government in West Bengal.

Purulia has seen a great deal of political aggression since then, and the prevalence has only intensified since the BJP made major inroads in West Bengal, presenting a significant challenge to the embattled Mamata Banerjee government. Purulia has seen a lot of bloodsheds, from the 32-year-old BJP worker Dulal Kumar, who has been found hanging from a high – voltage electric pole in Purulia in 2018, to the 18-year-old BJP worker Trilochan Mahato, who was slain in identical conditions in Balrampur a week before Dulal Kuma.

That being said, these occurrences of political violence are not confined to this area. General election unrest has been a hallmark of the state under Mamata Banerjee, especially since the 2019 Lok Sabha election, when the BJP made a big impact in West Bengal. The saffron party made significant gains in Mamata’s Bengal, winning 18 of 42 seats. The party’s popularity did not come naturally. Countless BJP Karyakartas have sacrificed their lives to ensure the BJP’s victory.

Trinamool Congress stooges deployed throughout Mamata Banerjee’s territory have carried out extrajudicial assassinations of ground-level personnel, mostly graduates, educators, peasants, farmers, farm labourers, and small shop owners, so this term the brunt of the ire were borne by BJP workers in Bengal, who presented the main risk to Mamata’s administration.

Numerous BJP employees and politicians have indeed been brutally assaulted or murdered in Bengal prior to and after election seasons.
