India’s Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas has become the ambassador for positive change. The actress who made the country proud after winning the Miss World pageant a few years ago has made the country proud yet again with this new feather in the cap.
Announced this new development through her tweet, she said, “I am honoured to be the British Fashion Council’s Ambassador for Positive Change while I’m living and working in London over the next year. We’ll have some really exciting initiatives to share soon, and I look forward to bringing you on this journey with me.”
“Fashion has always been the pulse of pop culture, and can be a powerful force with the ability to connect cultures and bring people together. I look forward to celebrating incredible diversity and creativity of the industry,” and she signed it off as Priyanka Chopra Jonas, BFC Ambassador for Positive Change.
First, PeeCee will be helping out with The Fashion Awards 2020 which will be done very differently this year. This year, the awards will be fully digital and celebrate those who have brought about change within the fashion industry, including people and organisations who’ve pushed the environmental agenda.
Priyanka Chopra promises that her projects in 2021 will also tie in BFC’s strategy, however, further details on the same are awaited.
Recently, pictures of Priyanka Chopra and husband Nick Jonas, posing for a new campaign in partnership with Feed, have gone viral on the internet. Through Feed, PeeCee and Nick will support various causes with the sale of their products, proceedings of which will be used to bring about change.
The high-fashion photographs show Priyanka and Nick Jonas posing with a Feed tote. Priyanka is dressed in a thick white jumper and a white satin skirt. She’s completed her look with knee-high suede boots and has kept her voluminous hair open. Nick, on the other hand, is donning a navy blue and brown sweatshirt, pants and black shoes.
Priyanka Chopra is the former Miss World and a Padma Shri-Awardee. She owns a production house, named Purple Pebble Pictures. Priyanka was also the national and global UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights in 2010 and 2016, respectively.
