On Thursday, PM Modi received his second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at AIIMS Delhi. He urged those who were eligible for the vaccine to get it as soon as possible in order to defeat the virus.
PM Modi received his first vaccination on March 1st at the hospital.
In a tweet on his official Twitter account, he said, “Today I received my second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS. Vaccination is one of the few options for combating the virus. If you are eligible for the vaccine, get it as soon as possible. Sign up at CoWin.gov.in.”
The prime minister also shared a photo of himself receiving the injection.
Modi has received Covaxin, a homegrown vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech in India.
According to official sources, the two nurses who gave the vaccine to the prime minister on Thursday were P Niveda of Puducherry and Nisha Sharma of Punjab.
