BCCI has announced an 18-member Indian squad for the Test series against South Africa starting from December 26. The series will be part of the ICC World Test Championship.
The BCCI said in a statement that the All India Senior Selection Committee has decided to appoint Rohit Sharma as the captain of the Indian cricket Test team. Virat Kohli will continue as the captain of the Test team. Ravindra Jadeja, Shubman Gill, Axar Patel and Rahul Chahar have not been selected in the team due to injury.
The Test and One Day cricket series between the two teams will start from 26 December and continue till 23 January. The first Test match will be played at Centurion from December 26. The second match will be in Johannesburg while the third match will be in Cape Town.
