A Hindu priest who worked in an Hanuman Temple was found dead and has shown all evidence of being murdered with an axe in Mau village of Uttar Pradesh. The Priest who works in a temple has been identified by the villagers as Sadhu Shiv Giri. who prayed and stayed in a Hanuman temple in the jungles at the bank of river Yamuna in the New Agra area.
According to the information as the police investigated, the body of the temple priest was found inside the temple by the villagers in the morning, who informed the police. He was hacked to death by a sharp object.
According to Rohan Pramod Botre, Additional SP (City), Agra, the body has been sent for a post mortem and the reason for the murder is unknown.
He also mentioned that an axe has been found by investigators, who believe it was used in the assassination. According to the police, the incident does not appear to be a crime, and it is likely that the murder was committed by someone familiar to the sadhu. A surveillance squad is currently looking at the sadhu’s cell phone in order to recover relevant information.
