The 14th edition of Bigg Boss, hosted by Salman Khan, is all set to begin from September. As per sources, Big Boss 14 will start from September 27 with the grand premiere episode on Colors TV. The shooting will start two days prior to the premiere. The introductory episode will be shot on September 25 and the contestants will step into the Bigg Boss house on September 26.
The Bigg Boss set will be erected at the Film City, Mumbai where the shoot will happen with all the necessary precautions. This time, Bigg Boss 14 might clash with the Indian Premier League (IPL). It is also rumoured that Star Plus is planning to air Nach Baliye around the same time.
Salman Khan will shoot for the Bigg Boss promo this month. Reports suggest that the theme of the promo is the novel coronavirus pandemic and social distancing. Salman is rumoured to have charged Rs 16 crore per episode for this season. It is said that Salman has already shot a few portions for the promo from his Panvel farmhouse. The final promo will air in mid-August or by the last week of August.
The Bigg Boss set will have green zones and red zones and the crew will follow the guidelines of lockdown. The set has been designed by noted film director Omung Kumar. Apparently, the work began last month and the house will be ready by September. The focus of the house will be on hygiene. All the contestants will undergo a medical test before entering the house.
Salman Khan might also shoot his anchor links from his farmhouse considering the current pandemic situation. A small team will be there to shoot the anchor link portions. It is said that he may go live with contestants who will be locked in the house.
Unlike the last season which had only celebrities, Bigg Boss 14 will have 16 contestants in total, out of which 13 would be celebrities and the remaining three would be commoners. The commoners have been chosen with digital auditions across India by Endemol Shine India.
Jasmine Bhasin is rumoured to be the first celebrity contestant who signed on the dotted lines. Neha Sharma, Vivian Dsena, Harsh Beniwal, Nia Sharma. Aly Goni, Nikhil Chinnapa, Aseem Merchant, Avinash Mukherjee, Shireen Mirza, Sugandha Mishra, Jay Soni, Karan Kundra, Aalisha Panwar Shagun Pandey, Aarushi Dutta, Mishal Raheja are the few celebrities who have been approached and few others have been shortlisted as well.
