Startup Maha Kumbh 2025: 3,000 startups and 1,000 investors from 50 countries will come together

The three-day ‘Startup Maha Kumbh 2025’, which began in New Delhi on Thursday, was inaugurated with great pomp. This prestigious event is organized at Bharat Mandapam and is recognized as the leading startup event of the country. More than 3,000 startups from more than 50 countries of the world have showcased their innovative technological enhancements, products and services in this Mahasabha. Apart from this, more than 1,000 investors and incubators are participating in this event, which provides funding and extensive networking opportunities for startups.

The conference covers various infrastructure sectors such as AI, deep tech, cyber security, health tech, biotech, agri tech, energy and climate tech, D2C, fintech, gaming, defense, space tech and mobility. The event has been organized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Startup India campaign of the Central Government. Its main objective is to provide startups access to investment, international collaboration and new business opportunities.

Addressing the inauguration of Maha Kumbh, Union Minister Jitin Prasad said, “India is moving towards becoming a developed nation by the coming year 2047. We have the necessary talent, skills and a capable government which is creating an excellent environment for startups.” In the same sequence, Uttar Pradesh IT and Electronics Minister Sunil Kumar Sharma said, “The Maha Kumbh of Prayagraj has been historic for the world, and now the Startup Maha Kumbh is becoming a medium to take India’s development to new heights. This event will help in bringing out the new talents of the country and will establish India as a powerful startup hub on the global stage.”
