The Taliban said today that it has conquered the Panjshir Valley, a stronghold of resistance forces. The Taliban have declared the end of the war in Afghanistan. Taliban’s chief spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid gave this information while addressing a press conference in Kabul.
Resistance forces, however, denied the Taliban claim and called it a lie. The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan has said they are still present at all strategic locations and the fight against the Taliban in the Panjshir Valley will continue. The same group’s tweet said that the fight against the Taliban and their partners will continue as long as justice and freedom prevail.
Meanwhile, former Vice-President of Afghanistan, Amarullah Saleh, is leading resistance forces at an undisclosed location in Panjshir.
