With each party announcing its candidates, Bhartiya Janata Party announced the names of its 20 candidates for the upcoming elections to the Tamil Nadu Assembly. Bhartiya Janata Party will contest from Tamil Nadu as an NDA partner. BJP Women’s Cell Chief Vanathi Srinivasan will compete against Kamal Hassan from Coimbatore South.
“In Tamil Nadu, BJP is contesting as an NDA partner and we’ll be contesting in 20 assembly constituencies spread across all regions of the state. State president L Murugan will contest from Dharapuram. Senior leader H Raja will contest from Karaikudi for the Tamil Nadu assembly election”. Said Arun Singh, BJP national general secretary.
Actor-turned Khushbu Sundar who recently joined BJP will contest from Thousand Lights in Chennai. While BJP women’s cell chief Vanathi Srinivasan will contest from Coimbatore South against Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamal Hassan.
BJP has tied up with the ruling AIADMK and will be contesting from 20 seats in the arrangement.
