The National Conference has suffered a major setback in Jammu. Two prominent party leaders Devendra Rana and Surjit Singh Slathia have resigned from the party. Rana announced his decision to quit the party at a press conference yesterday.
Shri Rana was the Provincial President of the National Conference in the Jammu region. Rana, younger brother of former MLA and Union Minister Jitendra Singh, was considered a prominent leader of the National Conference in Jammu. Both the leaders are likely to join the Bharatiya Janata Party in New Delhi today.
