Yogi Adityanath attacked the ruling CPI(M)-led LDF and the opposition Congress-led UDF for failing to pass legislation to combat ‘Love Jihad.’ He also claimed that his Kerala counterpart Pinarayi Vijayan’s office is involved in the gold smuggling scheme.
According to Yogi Adityanath, he said that both parties were corrupt and had “backstabbed” the state’s people.
“This was the appropriate time to respond to the LDF and UDF,” Yogi Adityanath said at Kattakada in Thiruvananthapuram, where senior BJP leader P K Krishnadas is the party’s candidate.
“The two fronts that have alternately ruled the state have no development agenda. Their only goal was to rise to power through corruption “alleged the BJP leader.
He previously stated in Haripad, Alappuzha district, that the gold smuggling case was one of the most “shameful” incidents in Indian history.
Yogi Adityanath stated that both were not interested in enacting a law prohibiting ‘Love Jihad’ along the lines of the legislation introduced by his government.
Though the Kerala High Court had made comments against ‘Love Jihad’ in 2009, he claimed that the state had done nothing to stop it. “An anti-‘love-jihad’ law has been enacted in Uttar Pradesh. Why isn’t it being used in Kerala? Despite the fact that Kerala has been targeted, neither the LDF nor the UDF appear eager to implement the anti-love jihad law “He stated.
Despite being aware that organizations such as the Popular Front of India (PFI) and its political wing, the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), were allegedly involved in illegal activities, putting the state in jeopardy, the two fronts have tied a cloth around their eyes and failed to take any action against them, Yogi Adityanath said.
“This is done to protect their political vote bank.” said Yogi.
Kerala had recently witnessed a series of protests in front of the secretariat by various PSC rank holders demanding jobs.
