BCCI bans BBC journalist Boria Majumdar for two years

The Board of Control for Cricket in India-BCCI has banned journalist Boria Majumdar for two years. The board has imposed this ban on the journalist after the allegation of torturing Indian wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha was found to be true. As per the ban, the journalist will not be allowed to cover any match in India.

Saha had made a post on social media in February this year, in which he had alleged that he had received threats from a journalist for not giving interviews.

This matter came to light in the media when Gujarat Titans wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha shared a screenshot on February 19 this year and wrote that after contributing so much to Indian cricket, I had to face all this from a so called respected journalist. Used to be. What is the lowest level journalism has reached in our country? Saha shared screen shots of Majumdar during this time.

In this screen shots it was written, ‘You did not call me. I will never interview you again. I don’t take a sip of humiliation easily. I will always remember this thing.’ Several former players, including former Team India coach Ravi Shastri, had appealed to the BCCI to take cognizance of the matter.
