The autopsy report of model-actor Arya Banerjee, alias Debdatta Banerjee (35), daughter of late sitar maestro Pandit Nikhil Banerjee, confirmed that her death was not a case of “homicide.”
Kolkata Police Joint Commissioner (crime) Murlidhar Sharma told that the actor model had lever cirrhosis. “It wasn’t a murder case. Alcohol was found in her stomach when she died,” he added.
Banerjee lived alone in Jodhpur Park. She had acted in many Bollywood movies, including Vidya Balan-starrer ‘Dirty Picture’ (2011) and Dibakar Banerjee’s ‘LSD: Love Sex Aur Dhoka’ (2010). She also did some modelling assignments in Mumbai. She also worked in 2014 in the ‘Savdhaan India’ episode.
According to the Kolkata Police Reports, the actress was found dead inside her room when the sleuths smashed open the door to her third floor flat.
