Counting of assembly by-polls continues amid tight security in Bengal

Counting of Assembly bypolls is underway in West Bengal amid tight security. All India Trinamool Congress candidates are leading in all the four seats. Udayan Guha is leading by one lakh 63 thousand votes over his nearest rival Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Ashok Mandal in Cooch Behar’s Dinhata after 19th round of counting. In Santipur, Nadia, Brajkishore Goswami is leading over BJP by 31,000 votes.

Former minister Sovandeb Chattopadhyay is leading over Marxist Communist Party Debojoti Das by more than 62,000 votes in Kharda in North 24 Parganas.

BJP candidate Joy Saha is at the third position after the 11th round of counting.
Subrata Mandal is leading by one lakh 51 thousand votes in Gosaba of South 24 Parganas.
