In spite of the spike in coronavirus cases, Delhi University has announced the time for much awaited DU admissions. Delhi University has finally released a tentative schedule for merit-based undergraduate admissions.
For DU UG admissions, the registration portal will be open from June 8 to June 30. The last date to apply for Delhi University undergraduate admissions is June 30, at 5 pm.
The portal will reopen from July 31 to August 9 so students can update their class 12 marks after the board exam results are all declared.
The DU admission 2020 first cut-off is likely to be released anytime between August 11 and August 14. The dates for other cut-off lists are given below.
These DU admission 2020 dates are on the agenda for a meeting scheduled for Friday hosted by Academic Committee of DU’s Academic Council.
DU Admission 2020: Tentative dates
Here are the tentative dates for the merit-based Delhi University UG admissions 2020:
Admission against second cut off list: August 18 (10 am) to August 20 (4 pm)
Admission against third cut off list: August 23 (10 am) to August 25 (4 pm)
Admission against fourth cut off list: August 28 (10 am) to August 31 (4 pm)
Admission against fifth cut off list: September 3 (10 am) to September 5 (4 pm)
Admission against special cut off: September 8 (10 am) to September 9 (4 pm)
These tentative dates depend upon the CBSE Class 12 Result declaration. The pending CBSE Class 12 board exams are supposed to be held from July 1 to July 15.
Also, if vacant seats are still left after these cut offs, next DU admission cut-offs will be announced later.
Please note that Delhi University admissions will be carried out only through online registrations, no offline process is being held.
“All applicants must register through the University of Delhi online admissions portal https://ug.du.ac.in. All undergraduate admissions for 2020-21 will be administered only through this portal.”
“There is no offline admission for any applicant. Only eligible applicants who have registered online through the university portal can be considered for admission,” the university’s tentative admission bulletin.
The tentative admission schedule might be modified as per the Coronavirus situation in the state.
Also, because the Covid-19 lockdown doesn’t allow any kind of physical interaction with the candidates, it wouldn’t be possible to go ahead with certificate verification for extracurricular activities like sports, music arts etc.
Thus, these verification dates will be informed later by Delhi University.
