The evangelists in Edlapadu, Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, where Maa Sita once stood, the BJP alleged, built a massive, cross-shaped Christian building. The enormous structure was built unlawfully, as the tweet of BJP Andhra Pradesh in-chargeSunil Deodhar meant.
See huge illegal Cross in Edlapadu, AP where once foot prints of #SitaMaa existed.
Carving of Lord Narasimhama exists at back.

BJP Andhra Pradesh National Secretary Sunil Deodhar tweeted with a photo of the unlawful act: “So see the big illegal Cross in Edlapadu, AP, where once there were #SitaMaa’s footprints. Lord Narasimhama carving is available at the back. Christian mafias created disasters in Guntur Dist. @BJP4Andhra and @friendsofrss demonstrated, but tacitly endorsed administration. #ChurchApproachment4”
In connection with this, Organiser reported that Hindus saw this place as sacred and rituals will take place here for centuries. However, Christians slowly came and began to demand Mary’s hill. The study even alleged that they also founded a church there after Jaganmohan Reddy came to power. Though the employees of BJP and RSS opposed it, the church was meant to be funded by one of the top bureaucrats and also a Christian. Finally, the footprint of Sita Maa was demolished and a large cross installed.
This area, it is said, bore the footprints of Sita, the goddess and a sculpture of Lord Narasimha has been demolished.
BJP leaders have taken to twitter slamming Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government that Christian evangelism is carried out unabated in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Vishnu Vardhan Reddy of Andhra Pradesh, chief of the BJP, accused the conversion mafias of unlawful capturation of a Hindu site in the Edlapadu area by constructing the Christian foundation. One of his Twitter images, posted by Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, shows a cross installed at this holy place while another image shows what looks like a Lord Narasimha carving.

It is also recorded that the evangelists constructed malls and sold the whole town, right next to a national highway.
