BCCI President Sourav Ganguly was admitted to Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata, West Bengal. According to sources, Ganguly was taken to the hospital on Saturday morning after he had complained of chest pain.
According to sources, the former player suffered a mild pain in his chest and complained that he felt giddiness when he went to in the gym for his regular workout. Immediately, he visited Woodlands Hospital to get his check-up done. After the check-up, it was found that there was a cardiac issue. Therefore, the doctors formed a three-member board. This being led by Dr Saroj Mondal who will perform the procedure,” the hospital sources said.
The BCCI President’s condition is stable but he will have to undergo angioplasty today.
The West Bengal Chief Minister and the TMC leader wished Sourav Ganguly a swift recovery. “Sad to hear that Sourav Ganguly suffered a mild cardiac arrest and has been admitted to hospital. Wishing him a speedy and full recovery,” Mamata wrote in a Twitter post.
