The very next day after erstwhile Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi had remarked on Jyotiraditya Scindia, the latter taunted by challenging Gandhi’s concerns and said, “It would have been a different situation had Rahul Gandhi been concerned the same way as he is now when I was in Congress.”
This arises after Rahul Gandhi spoke on Monday that Scindia had worked incredibly hard for the party, that he could have assumed the post of Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, however after transitioning to BJP, he was in the “last seat.” Gandhi expressed this opinion during a summit of the Youth Congress in New Delhi. He stated that Scindia had played a crucial role in the Congress.
“He is getting a place in the back seat in BJP and when he was in Congress, he used to sit with us,” Gandhi had said.
Twenty-two Members of Congress, mostly from the Scindia committed camp, stepped down in March last year, decreasing the Kamal Nath-led dispensation to the minority and laying the groundwork for the BJP to form a majority government. Scindia and these former MLAs joined the BJP later.
