Six Days After Testing Covid Positive, Sachin Tendulkar hospitalised

As the number of cases increased in Mumbai and Maharashtra, Tendulkar tested positive for the infection on March 27 and has been in home isolation since.

The batting legend, who was a part of India’s historic World Cup victory in 2011, also wished his teammates a happy 10th anniversary.
“Congratulations to all Indians and my teammates on the 10th anniversary of our World Cup victory,” he tweeted.

Apart from Tendulkar, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan, his elder brother Yusuf, and S Badrinath, who all recently competed in the Road Safety World Series Challenge, have all announced that they have tested positive for COVID-19.

Tendulkar led the Indian team to victory in the veteran’s tournament in Raipur, where spectators were permitted inside the stadiums.
