Union Minister of Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, has stated that strict action will be taken against those who conspire to cause train accidents by placing obstructions on railway tracks. This is our firm resolve. He also assured that the railway administration will work with complete vigilance to prevent such accidents. Minister Vaishnaw made these remarks while speaking to journalists upon his arrival in Jaipur on Tuesday.
Earlier, during a conversation with the media at the airport, he shared details about the Kavach system, stating that we all know Kavach is a major development for railway safety. The RDSO finalized the 4.0 version of Kavach on July 16, 2024. The first installation has already been completed from Sawai Madhopur, and I will be reviewing that as well.
When asked about conspiracies involving placing obstructions on railway tracks to cause accidents, he emphasized that the entire railway administration is extremely vigilant. Continuous dialogue is being maintained with all state governments. Discussions are ongoing with state DGPs and Home Secretaries. The NIA is also involved, and anyone attempting such accidents will face strict action, which is our resolve. The railway administration is working with full alertness in this regard.
