India beat Ireland to reach semi-finals in Women’s World Cup

In cricket, India has entered the semi-finals of the Women’s T20 World Cup. The Indian women’s team in the blue jersey defeated Ireland by five runs via the Duckworth-Lewis method in a rain-curtailed final group match at St George’s Park, Gkebera in South Africa.

Batting first, India scored 155 runs for the loss of six wickets in allotted 20 overs. Smriti Mandhana scored an inning of 87 runs, scoring her second consecutive half-century.

In response, the score of Ireland’s team was 54 runs for two wickets in 8.2 overs. When play was stopped due to rain, India won the match under the Duckworth-Lewis method after no balls were bowled.
