India vs New Zealand: Champions Trophy 2025 final to be held in Dubai on March 9

India will face New Zealand in the final of the Champions Trophy 2025. In the second semi-final held in Lahore, New Zealand scored a mammoth score of 362 runs in 50 overs, in response, South Africa could only score 312 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs.

Rachin Ravindra hit his fifth ODI century and second century of the tournament, while Kane Williamson scored his third consecutive century against South Africa. The duo together posted a mammoth total of 362/6 at the Gaddafi Stadium. Ravindra scored 108 runs off 101 balls, while Williamson scored 102 runs off 94 balls. Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips scored quickfire 49-49 runs in the end, helping New Zealand post the highest score in Champions Trophy history.

For South Africa, David Miller scored a brilliant 100 runs in 67 balls, but his innings could not make the team win. South Africa scored 312 runs in 50 overs losing 9 wickets. New Zealand, batting first, scored 362 runs in 50 overs losing 6 wickets.

South Africa’s innings did not start well, opener Ryan Rickelton was dismissed after scoring 17 runs in 12 balls. Captain Temba Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen shared a 105-run partnership, but Bavuma was dismissed after scoring 56 runs in 71 balls. Dussen scored 69 runs in 66 balls. Heinrich Klaasen was dismissed after scoring 3 runs in 7 balls. David Miller scored a century on the last ball of the 50th over, but South Africa’s journey in the Champions Trophy ended.

India has made it to the finals by defeating Australia in the semi-finals.
