Indian team announced for World Cup 2023

The BCCI announced the 15-member Indian team for the ODI World Cup 2023 on Tuesday. Captain Rohit Sharma and selector chief Ajit Agarkar selected the team through a press conference in Kandy, Sri Lanka. KL Rahul was selected in this team. Rahul is struggling with his fitness. He also got a place in the team for the Asia Cup. But he was out of the group stage matches due to fitness. At the same time, star leg spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Sanju Samson have not got a place in the World Cup team.

Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav have been selected as spinners. Of these, Jadeja and Akshar also know how to play useful innings in the lower order. Chahal was not a part of the team in either of the last two World Cups, while despite being in the team in the 2022 T20 World Cup, he did not get a chance to play in a single match.
