Drama continues in Karnataka and pressure mounting on Congress-JDS coalition government while two more MLAs on Wednesday submitted their resignations before speaker Ramesh Kumar.
The state’s Housing Minister M T B Nagraj and K Sudhakar tendered their resignation to speaker at Vidhan Soudha, the state secretariat. Over the resignations, the total number of disgruntled MLAs becomes 16, who have quit and camped in Mumbai.
Tuesday Congress’ crisis manager and state’s Water Resource Minister D K Shivkumar had went Mumbai to convince the rebels MLAs and fixed an meeting at the city but he was detained and sent back to Bengaluru from Mumbai.

The coalition government will face major threat of losing majority in the Assembly if the resignations are accepted. Now the tally is 116 in the 224 member House.
Amid this development the State’s Chief Minister H D Kumarswamy has called on cabinet meeting on Thursday 11 am.

He also confirmed before media that his cabinet ministers Nagraj and MLA Sudhakar has tendered their resignation. The duo also informed governor Vajubhai Vala on their decisions.
