Please save us, Bangladeshi Hindu seeks Trump’s help

A Bangladeshi Hindu activist Priya Saha has alleged to US President Donald Trump that in her country atrocities are being committing against minority people, who are citizens of the Bangladesh.

She has asked for help before Trump and said, “Please help us, the Bangladeshi people.” Priya’s such allegations has been rejected by Bangladesh on Saturday and the country’s foreign ministry issued a statement where Priya’s claims quoted as blatant lies.

Talking in the Second Ministerial to Advance Religious Freedom, which held in Washington from 16 to 18 July, the activist told, “Please, help us, the Bangladeshi. We want to stay in our country. Still there are 18 million minority people. My request is: please help us, we don’t want to leave our country. Just help us to stay. I have lost my home, they burnt my home, they taken my land; but no judgement here taken place… please.”

Talking on the issue at Washington, She also added that 37 million Hindus, Buddhists and Christian has been disappeared from Bangladesh. She also alleged that her land had been grabbed by Muslim fundamentalist. Issuing a statement on Saturday Bangladesh Foreign Ministry claimed it as blatant lies and the country’s government “condemns her remarks in the strongest possible terms”.

The statement also stated that Bangladesh was a beacon of religious freedom and communal harmony, where people of all faiths have been living in peace for ages. It also highlighted the generosity of Bangladesh government when it decided to temporarily shelter more than 1.1 million forcibly displaced Myanmar nationals and was condemned by the whole world. The same meeting, held in Washington, fuelled controversy while another participant and Nobel Peace Prize winner Nadia Murad was asked by President that why she had been given a Nobel Prize.
